I have not checked the others but I am ready to buy a Sony Blu-ray player with apps. When I saw the title of this article I thought there might be some heads up on newer models for 2013. When I checked the Sony BDP-S480 I see that it a very old 2011 model and much nicer ones came out in 2012 that I have been looking at.

When Blu-ray Disc software not authored with interactive features dependent on Bonus View or BD-Live hardware capabilities is played on Profile 1.0 players, it is able to play the main feature of the disc, but some extra features may not be available or will have limited capability.
